Expression is the origin of VITTI. Not commerce. Not market positioning. A genuine human urge to create to bring objects into the world that help people live better. For us, the urge to design is a strong one. VITTI is a design company, born out of urge to design and express, born out of passion. This is where everything begins.
Intention
Gives us direction
Nothing at VITTI is accidental. Every choice material, proportion, finish, process, word is made consciously and tested against the litmus test at the core of the VITTI philosophy: thoughtful and mindful. These are not aspirational values. They are a practical test applied to every decision, without exception.
Function
Gives us relevance
Every object VITTI makes has a job to do. That job is defined not by the object alone but by the context it inhabits the room, the home, the life above it. We define furniture as a support function in our lives. It allows us to be productive, to rest, and to care. Function means doing that job completely and precisely nothing beyond it, nothing short of it.
Connection
Gives us meaning
Everything VITTI makes exists within a hierarchy that extends outward from the object to nature itself. The object is within the room. The room is within the home. The home is within a life. The life is within nature. The ultimate context of design is nature and penultimate human. Connection is the awareness of this hierarchy and the responsibility it places on every design decision.
